MSU asked NM to renovate Suite 1515 of the Engineering Building including the installation of a second floor mezzanine level. This projects consists of 21,500 SF on the first and second floors. The renovated and expanded square footage will house the first of it’s kind in the world – the new Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering Department. This space will house the department faculty, staff, and graduate students in an office environment comprised of a combination of private offices for tenured faculty, shared offices for visiting scholars and open workstations for graduate and post doc students.
The space will feature a functional office environment that promotes teaching and learning, and research efforts of the Dept and College, including formal and informal “cloud” spaces uniquely designed for collaboration. This design is functional, efficient, flexible, professional, welcoming, and maximizes access to daylight.
